The substance that I chose to research was coffee; the amazingly tasteful, warm, and energizing drink that we all know and love. Coffee has some great benefits, but the issue is, people tend to talk about how great this beverage is, when really it is no greater than an illegal drug. It is a drink that is used for general conversation, what people drink to start the day, or a way to catch up with a long lost friend at a local Starbucks. Throughout this paper, I am going to summarize my research and what I learned. On top of that I will talk about ways to inform others about the deliciously legal substance. â€Å"The coffee plant, was discovered in Ethiopia in the 11th Century, has a white blossom that smells like jasmine and a red, cherry-like fruit† (Turkishcoffeeworld.com 1). Because it is such an easy beverage to consume and is around every street corner it is worth a lot of money. The founder and CEO of Starbuck Corp, Howard Schultz believes that his cooperation will bring in a grand total of $100 billion dollars, doubling what they have made in the past. Because it is something legal for us to consume we consume it is many ways, pills, beans, drinks, coffee in candy bars, and flavored energy drinks that taste just like coffee.
